Class Announcements Week Ending 2-26-10This week, we will continue our study into the fundamental ethics of employment. Our segment began with a student made film on "How to be a good employee." In our research, we have found that many professions are governed by code of ethics. Doctors and nurses are bound by the Hippocratic Oath. Gunsmiths are bound by federal, state, and local statutes. Writers are constrained by copyright laws. And finally, federal employees are bound by an oath of employment that comes with a swearing process.
As a FORMAL PROJECT, we research our employment goals and write a three page essay on the "Ethics of Work." Week of 2-15-2010Students will learn the importance of becoming an employee. Standards explored in this lesson go hand in hand with decision making, choosing a bank account, managing a household, and buying insurance.
